Irix is known mostly for making manual focus wide angle lenses with rugged build quality and nice image quality, and the new 21mm f/1.4 Dragonfly lens seeks to continue that trend. The lens comes in Canon, Nikon, and Pentax DSLR mounts (and can be easily adapted to mirrorless), and this fantastic video review takes a look at the sort of performance and image quality you can expect from it in practice.
Coming to you from Christopher Frost, this great video review takes a look at the new Irix 21mm f/1.4 Dragonfly lens. Though it is made for Canon EF, Nikon F, and Pentax K mount, being manual focus only, you can easily adapt this lens to just about any mirrorless camera without needing to worry about loss of autofocus performance. Irix says this lens was designed specifically for the latest generation high-resolution full frame sensors, offering high levels of sharpness, extremely low levels of distortion, and low levels of coma. And with a 140-degree focus throw, it makes dialing in precise focus relatively easy, while 11 rounded aperture blades contribute to smoother bokeh. Altogether, it looks like quite the nice lens.
