Sept 11 - 12: Modeling 101 with Yoanna House
On Tuesday and Wednesday, America's Next Top Model winner Yoanna House will be live in the creativeLIVE studio sharing everything she knows about the modeling industry. As photographers, it's important to have a good understanding of what goes into modeling, how the industry works, and what sort of images are required for building a model's portfolio.
Some of the topics covered will be: what does it take to be a model, how should you prepare for your first photo shoot, how do you find an agent, how to stay healthy, and how to take care of your skin.
Yoanna will also talk about what distinguishes different fields of modeling such as runway, commercial, high fashion, and many more. If you are a photographer who takes fashion photography seriously, Yoanna's Modeling 101 course will be a great way to see the fashion world from the perspective of a model. The workshop is free to watch live, $79 to preorder the download, and $99 to download after it airs.
Sept 13 - 15: Matthew Jordan Smith: Working With Models
Starting on Thursday, celebrity and fashion photographer Matthew Jordan Smith will take you into the creativeLIVE studio and show you exactly how he produces great images of some of the world's most famous faces.
Matthew has worked with many A-list celebrities like Oprah, Vanessa Williams, Jennifer Connelly, Halle Berry, Britney Spears, Mandy Moore, Jamie Foxx. He has also shot multiple campaigns for some of the fashion industry's largest cosmetic companies like Pantene, L'Oreal, Revlon, and Olay.
Of course Matthew is going to talk about his lighting and camera techniques, but what he is really going to teach is how to interact with your talent to bring out the best in them during your photoshoot. Matthew Jordan Smith's Working with Models workshop is also free to watch as it airs. If you want to download it later, the preorder price is $99 (after it airs it will cost $149).

We've hardly even heard from him yet....hearing the real inside story about modeling from Yoanna has been great. Some of the stuff she has said about natural makeup and just going out and shooting stuff straight up has been awesome to hear. It also reminds me how hard making a career out of modeling must really be for any girl or guy.
Awesome workshop! I've been a fan of MJS for a while now. Always appreciate any chance to watch him work and learn more from him.
Now I'm also a big fan of Yoanna House. Very cool how both of these very talented people are sharing such valuable insights.
