For those of us who didn't get to make it out to Black Rock Desert this week for the annual Burning Man Festival , we can now enjoy the experience virtually, thanks to the incredible new film Lake Of Dreams by Roy Two Thousand. Combining time-lapse, hyperlapse, and standard video, Roy, along with his second shooters, August Winkelman and Connor McNeill, give us a 7 minutes jaw dropping short film that will feel so real, you will be cleaning the sand out of your teeth for the rest of the afternoon. From nighttime lightning strikes, rainbows over the Truth And Beauty sculpture, and of course, the grand finale Burning of the Man, the amazing experience that is Burning Man is brought to us like never before.
You can find more from Roy Two Thousand on his website.
Wow!
That was inspiring, possibly the most beautiful time lapse film I've seen.
I agree Mitch. Simply stunning
BTW, are you in my home town?
That was SO mesmerizing! Wow! So well done....
That was incredible, thanks for sharing Michael! Hoping to finally make it to this thing next year!
Eric, Tessa and I are 100% going. Cruise with. I hear that Joe Azure guy has a rad camp :)
One of the best I've seen. Inspiring and it really makes me want to go to burning man next year.
I will see you there Louis! :)
Yep...... I've gotta go now! Just epic!
I've just come off watching another one of those desert at night, starry sky, ken burns'y effect, no narrative, pointless, time lapse that I really hate.
This has restored my faith that anything worthwhile is possible using time lapse. Excellent !
Loved this! I know nothing about the burning man festival but it looks awesome!
Mike, there is always next year! :)
Couldn't make it to BM this year, thank you so much for the images. Beautiful.
