Motion Array: A Library of Templates, Stock Music, and Videos for Your Video Work

Motion Array: A Library of Templates, Stock Music, and Videos for Your Video Work

It's about time for a new approach. There are a few online stores and stock libraries where you can get templates, videos, and music that help you save time when creating professional videos. Some of them can get really tricky when dealing with prices and licensing.

Recently, I had the opportunity to use a service called Motion Array. It’s a great library of After Effects and Premiere Pro templates, stock music, and videos to quickly and easily enhance your next project, and in my opinion, these assets can save an incredible amount of time so I can concentrate on the story I want to tell.

What It Does

Motion Array gives you download functionality for files, whether it's After Effects and Premiere Pro Templates, music for your videos, or stock video, which you can use whichever way you please. This means that you do not have to pay licensing fees, and there are no royalties due. They have a growing collection of high-end transitions, 4K footage, music, and more that if used correctly will increase the production value and quality of your work.

Saving time and giving yourself the time to focus on what you enjoy doing is what it's all about. If you read Fstoppers, you're most likely a photographer or videographer. So, if you need to put together a portfolio, show-reel, or produce a video for a client that needs these elements, you can get them here instead of producing them yourself. It releases you to go out shooting, editing, and producing the creative work and leaves the designing and animation to Motion Array.

What Makes It Different From What We Have Now

Usually, stock library sites have licensing fees and royalties. These sites usually have specific prices for the planned use of the file you're looking to use. They can also vary in price depending on the complexity of some projects. What sets Motion Array apart from others is that the cost per download is the same, and it only gets more affordable when committing to yearly accounts. You download the file once and use it for as many projects as you want, from a Hollywood movie to a local business promo. The file is yours forever. Premiere Pro templates are unique to Motion Array. Together with After Effects templates, stock music, graphics, and video, it allows you to have everything you need to make videos in one place.

After Effects Templates

These include transitions, slideshows, lower-thirds, logo reveals, and titles that will help give your video the professional feel it needs.

Premiere Pro Templates

With easy to use Premiere Pro templates, you get edits, tool kits, creative transitions, title sequences, presets, and logo reveals.

Stock Music

All music files sound very professional and are neatly organized into easy to understand categories. The simple “use in anything” license makes it very convenient for all video projects. You can use music tracks from Motion Array in as many projects as you want, even if they have distribution.

Stock Motion Graphics

These are pre-rendered overlays, backgrounds, transitions, and framing devices that are ready to go into your edit timeline. Instead of producing these elements yourself, it's much easier to simply download and add them to your edits.

Stock Video

Videos include time-lapses, abstracts with ink being dropped into water, and lots of clouds and sunsets, as well as some really great compositing elements that can take a VFX shot from good to great.

Functionality

You can save several products that you think you will need in the future to a collection that you can easily access at any time. This feature is available even on free accounts. Other stock sites have a similar feature, but Motion Array’s version is quite a pleasure to use. The site also gives you an opportunity to upload your videos to build a complete video portfolio website with great drag and drop functionality.

The tutorial page has well-produced videos explaining in detail how to achieve great animations and effects using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro. I wanted to know how the video portfolio site works and how to access it. It was the first thumbnail option once you land on the tutorial page, and in my opinion, it’s a well-designed site, with everything where it is supposed to be.

More of these easy-to-use templates, motion graphics, and audio will be added with time as the agency grows, so you’ll want to stay updated with the newsletter and be informed when they add new items. It’s a subscription model, which is different from most other stock library sites, and you can keep the downloaded files even after you’ve ended your subscription should you want to.

What I Don’t Like

  • I really can’t say a single bad thing: maybe the limited amount of stock they have available, but that's only temporary. I’m looking forward to the addition of more files to use and seeing what other features they add in the future.

What I Like

  • The files you download are yours to keep forever. They can be used as you wish with no licenses and no royalties.

  • The ease of use. It’s so easy to add a list of items you want to use for a specific project and then download them quickly.

  • The files are easy to find, and the site is aesthetically pleasing and well-designed.

  • It's not just a photography or video stock library. It has motion graphics, music, After Effects and Premiere Pro templates, all under one roof.

  • Its video portfolio site builder is a force to be reckoned with. It’s a turn-key solution with an easy-to-use editor that allows anyone the opportunity to make a professional site with all their videos. It seriously can be done in just a few minutes.

Conclusion

Motion Array has a different approach and mindset. They are definitely not just a stock site. From a professional perspective, it's something we've needed, and they make the process of finding video resources a breeze. I can add products that I think will work well to a collection, run it by my team, and download them when it's time to start editing. It's great to know the industry now has Motion Array as a provider; I'm looking forward to the next video I have to edit and having them as a resource. Check the site out here.

Here is a really cool video that demonstrates what you can achieve with Motion Array:

Good timing, I've got a big video job I'm currently about to start and after looking through the site I found a lot I can use in place of more expensive options I was planning to use, so it'll save a few bucks overall!

Just to add, the overwhelming amount of what seems like sponsored content on this site is becoming disconcerting.

Hi Jonathan, I'm glad you're finding Motion Array useful. I had the same feeling when I came across it. With regards to the sponsored posts: We try share the useful stuff happening in the industry, and if it isn't what we think represents the Fstoppers community, it won't be shared. The article is tagged as being sponsored so we're not trying to hide it, but at the same time, it's valuable information, just like you realised and mentioned in your comment. The guys who put Motion Array together are passionate about video production just like the Fstoppers community is about creating great images and stories. They are aiming at making things better for people just like themselves and I think with Motion Array, they're doing just that. Thanks for sharing and I'm glad we might save you some unwanted costs!

Wonderful and useful, thank you!!
