What is neat about effects like this is that it only takes a slight shift in the angle or position of whatever you are using to create a totally different look, making it easy to generate a lot of different images in just a little time. And of course, while Ortiz is using a disco ball here, you can use a variety of different objects — anything that interacts in light in an interesting way (a prism or a colander come to mind).
