In fact, I generally prefer to keep my edits in Lightroom if possible; it saves time and is generally less tedium than going back and forth between Photoshop. While almost everyone performs basic global edits in Lightroom, using radial and graduated filters, the adjustment brush, and more, you can often produce a fully polished image.
