It's not every day that I have the chance to witness the peak of a huge winter storm during an abnormally high tide at mid-day, but that’s what happened during winter storm Riley on March 2, 2018. I took the chance and drove out to Wallis Sands State Park in Rye, NH to witness this power. I was rewarded with the largest waves I have ever seen on our coast! These rocks are normally fifteen feet above the sea. And as you can see, the storm swell during abnormally high tide from a close moon created epic waves. This wave was easily fifteen feet above the rocks!
