Water liquid & a (platonic) solid.

This conceptual image combines a high speed water splash with a 3D printed icosahedron, which is the platonic solid for the element of water. Single frame, in studio. Shot tethered with the Fujifilm X-T2 at f/10 for depth of field, and lit with a Profoto D2. The 3D object was printed (~11 hours) then sanded and spray painted gold before being mounted on a c-stand arm with black line for this shot. Water was then tossed onto the shape. Trial and error led to this decisive moment.
