I like the idea behind the composition, and the colors. I think a longer lens would have helped a bit; also giving the sun a bit more exposure might help the light and colors blend a bit more. Must of been very lovely in person.

I like how the shadow of the mast can be seen in the "flare dot" of the sun just above the actual sunset, that's kinda cool. However the rest of the image overall is a bit empty; I would agree that cropping in a bit could help.
