I think this can be helped by cropping out some of the bottom water. Or alternatively maybe darkening the foreground water some.

If the lighting on the far shore is all natural, or only slightly enhanced in post, I think more of that should be allowed to dominate the scene because that lighting has such an ethereal feel to it, but it's so far away I can't enjoy any of its details. If this was cropped to only include the top 60% and blown up to a 4-foot-wide print, then maybe that issue goes away. For smaller displays, maybe focusing on a square just to the left of the center 1/9th (like if it was only center in equal 3x3 grid) of the photo would allow that lighting on the reeds to really shine.
