Interesting concept. The lighting on the model's face is excellent. As are the muted colors and subtle tones. I think what's killing the shot for me is it looks like you lasso'd her hair so there's a sharp line where it should be a soft falloff to the bg (please tell me if I'm wrong).
In fact you're wrong. There is not cut of the hairs. The background is lit by 2 symetrics lights that bounce back and create some wrapping of light around her.
It does seem chopped off. Perhaps this is one case where it should not have been that perfect :)
