I was walking through Volcanoes National Park in Hawaii when this image caught my eye. No really it actually caught my eye... I was looking into the distant caldera and walking down a trail when I got poked in the eye by a large fern leaf. After a few tears and choice words under my breath, I opened my eyes and saw this composition. Weird story, but hey sometimes photos slap you in the face!
