This is 1 of 3 in a series I took to capture the essence of the Columbia River Gorge including all the natural and human elements: towering rock cliffs, vibrant sunsets/rises, the massive river itself, vast overlooks, trains, and I84.

I took the sky and water photos during one long exposure. Then I caught light trails on I-84 and stacked those. The trickiest part was getting my shutter speed dialed in time as I saw the oncoming train. I took everything in photoshop and layered it to the final scene you see here.
