Simple idea but something different. Tried out a long exposure on the 100-400 while I was up on the BWCA. This time I zoomed in on some angled pine trees. The earth was moving about the same angle. Set up a 5 minute exposure at 133mm. f/5.6 iso 1000.

This was a tough shot to get in focus. One for being completely dark and two, needing everything to be steady for 5 minutes. This is where a really calm night was appreciated. Also had silent shooting on and used a cable. Even with all this it took about a half hour to get something resembling sharp.

Anyway, It's not an owww ahhhh photo but I like the simplicity and I don't see many zoomed compositionality fixated long exposures.
