Taken at Millarochy bay on Loch Lomond in Scotland. This 183 second long exposure was the result of a trip to capture a sighting of aurora this far south. Unfortunately the clouds had other ideas so no aurora was captured.

It is mist or dodging that's brighter on the mountains around the tree trunk?

Love this image, but wondering whether framing this with the tree to the left and covering part of the blown out areas of the sky would have made this a four star image or not...
