While in Namibia last year, we got the last campsite available and were thus able to go to a special, protected viewing platform at any time of day or night. Since the park locks the gates from 7pm until 7am, this means that a choice few people get to see this spots late at night or early in the morning. This was during sunset, and we could barely make out an object against the dark foliage. The way the sunset hit the drinking pond, however, revealed a lone giraffe strolling along and carefully sipping, making sure no predators are near. I love how the photo is quite plain and average until you see there's a gorgeous wild animal there, revealed only in the upside-down reflection.
