This is from 2007, and is first time I captured an eagle with a fish.
The Story:
I was about to leave a section of the river right before sundown.
Just before the last turn, I saw two eagles, one juvenile, one adult, circling in the sky.
As the juvenile dropped it's feet down, I knew it was going for a fish.
I slammed on the brakes, and just before I stopped, I threw it into park and jumped out of the van with my camera.
As I was running across the road, I could hear the transmission still clicking as the van came to a stop.
When I reached the rivers edge, I saw the young eagle hit the water and come up empty for its attempt.
Just then, the adult came zooming down to the water and grabbed this bass.
Using a Canon XTI at three frames a second, I managed to get 3 shots of the eagle flying off with it's catch.
Of those three, one was in focus.
