I’ve always enjoyed making compositions around a harbor. My brother got married at this marina. I took this during the day before the wedding. Because of the harsh mid day light I made this black and white. I shot this with a wide angle lens. Laying on the dock. Getting really close to the rope in the foreground. I wish I’d have been able to get the entire circle of the rope in frame. But it was impossible without getting in water which I wasn’t about to do. I really like the tension of the sharp foreground leading you to the blurry boat in the background.
