This is my first tracked Milky Way panorama. They are not easy, I have a Polemaster to align my tracking mount and it did not work, used it many times for straight astrophotography without any trouble. I think the problem was that there was no internet connection and the PC was looking for a connection that messed up the camera input? I ended up aligning it using my compass on the phone, and it appeared to work okay. The two Luxli Fiddle lights I used to illuminate the silos are set very low via Bluetooth, for some reason I had heaps of trouble connecting to them. Also, I had to wait for cars to pass, which took extra time, and they messed up a few shots. All in all a frustrating night.
I need to learn a lot more about layer masks and next time I will also incorporate focus stacking to improve the foreground image. Would be a lot easier if I found a composition without trees in the foreground. The foreground is only illuminated by starlight.
The sky is tracked, 16 images, 68 seconds at f2.8, ISO 1600. Foreground, 8 images, 68 seconds at ISO 2500 at f2.8. Canon R5, with Rokinon 24 mm, f 1.4. Final image 29737 x 12102
