The Swimmers.
A diptych of swimmers in raging water. One woman looks anguished and inside her head, unaware of the turbulence around her. She is perturbed by her dark thoughts. The other swimmers are taking things in their stride. We are all swimming against the tide. Taken with a Samsung S22Ultra in a swimming pool. I loved the waves, the shimmering water and in order to increase the feeling of turbulence, to create anxiety, loneliness in a vast sea, I used layering of the waves to create depth with Photoshop and Luminar.
