This image was taken at the lantern house in Koyasan Japan using a Z7II and adapted sigma 16-28 2.8 at 16mm. Mt. Koya in Japan is a Buddhist community and has many beautiful things to see. This lantern house is unlabeled, not shown on maps, and is located in a regular looking building so my first day in Koyasan I totally missed it. My second day there I searched the entire complex until I located this building with the lanterns in it. My photo is nothing special but it still wound up being one of my favorite images from 2024
