The picture "Riding fast, playing slow" was taken on a train travelling towards Budapest in August 2005.
It was taken with my very first digital compact camera, the Sony DSC-W12, a black version of the more popular 5 megapixel DSC-W1. The camera had a 3x optical zoom and a screw mount adapter for screw-on lenses.
For this shot I used a raynox semi-fisheye lens, which greatly increased the field of view. We were sitting close together so I had to push the camera as far back as possible to get more of the inside and outside of the train. I also had to keep the body still and not shake during the 1/40 second exposure.
The post-processing in Lightroom included white balancing, brightening, sharpening and adding clarity to the whole image. I also added two linear masks to the left and right to even out the brightness.
I can imagine that using Topaz AI tools one could further enhance and add more details to the shot.
Today I shoot mostly with analogue Leicas and Fujifilm X bodies.
I dig it. Love the motion blur combined with the still subject. It works for me for sure.
