It is a smoggy day on the City Wall in Xian China. I could easily point the camera directly at the Sun, and not worry about my lens or camera.

I took advantage of some modern editing techniques here, and removed a person that was in the picture. I thought the focus should be on the Sun and the other architecture.

This was taken in 2016 with my Rebel SL1. I currently have a EOS M6 Mark II. I still have the Rebel SL1, and still use the Canon L 1.4 24mm lens often with an adapter.

P.S. Far off in the end of the picture is two stray dogs just sitting on the wall, looking for attention.
