I shot this on my Nikon D800, and 24-70mm lens in 2017. I now shoot on Mirrorless Nikon and film cameras but still love my Nikon D800.

I famously love the fair. I used to count down the days before I could go to the fair again and be reinvigorated with inspiration and zest for life. This is before I knew I suffered from bipolar disorder and really understood how the energy and colors of the fair could pull me out of a depressive state. All I knew at the time is that it was a healing experience for me. I love the motion in the photos from excited people rushing to find the perfect horse. I love the reflection of the merry-go-round lights on the wet pavement.
