"Garudan Parva" or the flight of the Eagle. A ritulastic art form originating from Central Kerala. The artist wearing elaborate face make up and costume depicts the flight of the Eagle Deity from Hindu Mythology, where Garuda or the Eagle God is the vehicle of the Lord Vishnu the Preserver. The main event of the performance is where the Dancer's stand in one place and rotate their upper body in a 360degree circle at high speed. This particular photo was taken in very poor light so I had to use the in built flast of my Sony A5000 with a Kit lens 24-55mm lens at 48 mm, f1/7.1, ISO 640, 1/160sec.
