On the Bonneville Salt Flats, the organization president is doing a little prayer before driving my school's streamliner for a record attempt. He had rolled it the year before and this was his first time back in the cockpit after we repaired it. Eventually, he would go on to set the class record at 204.9 MPH in the electric lightweight (E1) class in the vehicle.
