I have made a lot of preparations and had my mood board ready, MUA ready and studio booked and all gear charged. at last minute, in the morning of the shoot, the model texted me to tell me that she has her period and she cannot come for the shoot. I was pretty disappointed/destroyed, the feeling that every portrait photographer express and learn how to eventually deal with when they are let down by their models. but I moved the studio booking to another date and was able to get the MUA to also move my booking for few weeks. I then found this amazing positive model on Instagram and the only thing I told her was that I like jeans and boots and autumn colors. she understood the assignment. This was the one photo where I realized that my color grading skills went from average to good. I used photoshop to add some filling to make the photo into a square so that it fits on the Instagram square.
