After the Session
This portrait was taken just after a fashion shoot had wrapped, capturing a raw, emotional moment between the models. I used a Nikon D610 with a 24–120mm f/4 lens, zoomed at 44mm, and lit the scene with a single hair light from above to carve out form and shadow.
I wanted to emphasize the tension and elegance of their poses using only one source of light to highlight texture and vulnerability. The setup was minimal, and the intimacy came from getting close with a slightly wide focal length.
Post-processing was limited to a black-and-white conversion to further strip down the image and let the contrasts speak for themselves.
This image is less about styling and more about presence — a quiet, almost sculptural study in posture, light, and human connection.
