This photo was taken with a Nikon zf and Super-Takumar 35mm F3.5 in the countryside of Guangdong, China, of an old man in a temple.

I was wandering around and found a temple, I was a little wary when I went inside so the old man struck up a conversation with me, as he was talking to me about the history of the temple, I learned that the old man was a friend of my grandfather's so I asked if I could take a picture of him, which he readily agreed to do.

This photo was taken with a black and white filter and some contrast adjustments.

Well done

Thank you

I'd have asked if I could move the empty chair out of shot. As it's there I'd knock back the highlight on the arm and elsewhere. Alternatively, a great portrait to be had by cropping in tight to his right arm, across the top of the arch and down the right edge f the archway.

👌
