I always like to tell story whenever I can and this person was a living bunch of stories. He was a friend of a friend. A photographer friend of mine and his invited us with a couple more friends to her house to chill out and also to see what photo ideas we came up with. She was interested in lighting. He was interested in doing a little trading and also to gaming with cards. So things progressed along the lines of a "cool card-playing dealer". The portrait was taken in the lounge of her house with a dark household curtain for a background. Lighting ws a single source silver umbrella on old BOWENS flash head placed obliquely to him. No reflectors, just a small amount of ambient bouncing around to fill. Everything in the room was fairly dark which suited the theme and I worked on darkening the background. Post was done with an old version of PS. Camera used was a Sony A7 mark 1 with the 70-200 lens.

Wow!
a bit too processed in my opinion.
What processing?
