"Auntie Maria". An auntie by marriage-one of many aunties and one of many Marias! An admirable Paraguayan lady of many years. For a long time she has lived on her own on her own patch of land. Virtully self suficient and content with her own company. (Well, in the company of several cows, many dogs and cats and some other animals). She is always delighted to receive company, grateful for those that can make the long trip across dirt tracks, usually full of Paraguayan mud, where GPS means nothing. She will greet you with a smile and so much love, followed by home prepared and cooked food on her outdoor baked mud oven fed by logs she collects from the surrounding woods. She has no modern conveniences or entertainment, but will never complain. Whenever we visit I am always rewarded with some original photos a feeling of love and a realisation (or comparison) of what she is and what we have and what we are! Whenever "Envy" comes to the surface in this day and age it is usually, or often about envy of material things, but I find I can alm ost envy her and her inner peace. Photo taken with Sony A7III, natural ambient light of her kitchen. Minimum processing in ON1 RAW
