This image was captured while serving on a mission trip in Tanzania, Africa in 2024. On this particular day we were visiting this Maasai tribe to address some medical needs and fellowship with them, our leader has visited this particular tribe for years. Many times I had noticed an interesting looking individual and they did not want to be photographed when I requested. This man appeared to be the eldest member of the tribe and I requested to take his photo, which he agreed.

I captured this image with my Nikon Z8 and a 24-70mm F 2.8 lens. This was shot at 55 mm, 1/1000 sec and F 2.8. On this particular day it was slightly overcast, which helped being 4 p.m. This was minimally processed in Lightroom, added some contrast and toned down the highlights

I've done some stuff with the Maasai back in the '80's. I would have taken the sky down even more and the background dry grass.
