She didn't want her picture taken, She'd just turned thirteen. We lived on a boat. We were walking along the railroad tracks near the marina and came upon a spot with great soft lighting. So she reluctantly agreed to pose for a bunch of quick shots. The original was on 35mm film and this submission is from an un-retouched scan of the original color print. Looking at this now, more than thirty years later, I can feel my daughter's love, even in her unsuccessful attempt to appear to be onboard with the whole thing.
