Jenny is a young woman who attended some public speaking classes with me. I chose her as a model for one of my photo assignments wherein I was charged with illustrating the lines of a song. The song I chose was "You're So Vain" by Carly Simon, and the lines were "You walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht. Your hat strategically dipped below one eye, your scarf, it was apricot." I supplied the hat and scarf and Jenny was willing to provide the attitude. We had lots of fun with the assignment. Jenny was seated in a sunny lobby in front of a southwest exposure window with a large overhang that unfortunately created more shade. I knew the hat would obscure the light on her face so I used a reflective whiteboard in Jenny's lap to bring some fill light onto her face and her eye. Ah, this younger generation - - Jenny had never heard the song but she still managed to dial into her very best attitude.
