It was a sunny day in April 2019, great for a photo shoot-out at Montague Beach in Nassau, The Bahamas.
We had a group of photographers and models and it was nearly 4:30 in the afternoon, thinking about it, that was actually the best time to shoot. The Sun was still out, but hanging at an angle, so I asked the model to step a bit more into the shade, I knew that produce a better image than direct sunlight.
I only had one speedlight for flash and a shoot through white umbrella. I placed the setup quite close to the model tilting it down at almost 45 degrees. After the shoot, culling through the images this one caught my eye, it had good lighting on the face and the pose was perfect. I had a re-toucher friend work on it and it came out, what I think is amazing.

What is so wild about this image is I saw it and immediately thought of the Bahamas. A decade ago we did a photography workshop there and at the end Michael Grecco did a short video with us on the beach. It's wild how similar this image is to that photo that it instantly made me think Nassau. Very cool shot!
