Shot in a small, Javanese-themed photo studio, this portrait captures the studio's assistant (and occasional model). The image was taken with a 50mm f/1.4 Summilux lens on a Leica M11, using a single continuous light source from the left and a fog machine positioned below. This is his everyday appearance. Please excuse the somewhat basic description of the setup; my understanding of the lighting and studio technicalities is limited as I was a guest photographer on this trip and the studio handled all the arrangements as part of their service.
