This child is my nephew Luka born in central Bosnia, at the time he was twelve years old. Personally I have never seen a kid with such "adult" gaze. Looking at him, I believe, one can guess his roots and probably something about his upbringing and possible family history. He is the son of two parents who were young but old enough to have fully experienced the period of the war in the Balkans in the 90s. Maybe something of this transpires from the eyes of this child, without him even knowing it.

This photograph is very badly rated despite being one of the best on this contest. I do not understand how this can be so poorly rated. This picture does not need any work, despite what the feedback says!
This photo is exactly how i wanted it to be, there's reason for making it black and white, for blowing out the highlights and for this kind of a crop, this work doesn’t need "more work", it’s finished, so I don't give any importance to the rating, it really doesn’t matter, but thank you for the appreciation 🙏😊
