From his weathered bench, 79-year-old Mr. Yanto stands as a silent link to Blok M's past, a former fixture of the bustling terminal. In its heyday, Blok M was a dynamic center of commerce and transit in South Jakarta, a place where fortunes were sought and lives intertwined.

This image was captured with a Leica M11 and a 35mm Summilux lens at f/2.8, utilizing the raking sidelight, likely exhibiting a warm color temperature characteristic of the late golden hour. Approaching Mr. Yanto, I conducted a brief interview and then photographed him on location, capturing his enduring presence within Blok M's evolving urban environment.

Colors are graded and slightly edited in Lightroom mobile. No AI use.
