This photo of a Northern Parula in a Bradford pear tree was taken with an OM System (formerly Olympus) OM-1 (20MP micro 4/3 sensor) and an M.Zuiko 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS at 1/1600s, f/6.3, ISO 6400, and 400mm handheld. This shot was made possible by the following camera features: pre-capture with silent shutter at 25fps (50fps is possible with the Pro lenses); AI bird detection AF (which is awesome but not always perfect); and an 800mm full frame equivalent focal length. This is a small bird but I was able to get fairly close and the 800mm equivalent focal length was a huge help in filling the frame. The RAW file is quite noisy and pretty out of focus, but Topaz Photo AI's Super Focus and denoise features allowed me to recover the photo. This little migratory warbler is only in Massachusetts during migration, so I was super stoked it chose my yard as a pit stop on its northward journey!

This pose is great and capturing him flying though the beautiful flowering tree makes for a very solid photo. Thanks for the tip on Topaz's software.
Thanks so much for the feedback! Something I didn't mention is that I had to adjust the opacity of the Topaz sharpening layer in photoshop. The Super Focus feature is still in beta and was pretty over the top, but it's a great tool if you play around with it.
