This photo of a Great Blue Heron was taken with an OM System (formerly Olympus) OM-1 (20MP micro 4/3 sensor) and an M.Zuiko 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS at 1/3200s, f/6.3, ISO 640, and 400mm handheld. I was walking along the side of a pond and this heron caught me completely by surprise when it took off so I quickly pointed the camera and started shooting. The AI bird detect AF locked on right away and the 25 fps gave me a bunch of shots to choose from. If I didn't have the subject detect feature I definitely would have missed out on this image. As far as editing, I used ACR for minor denoising and Topaz for sharpening. I also masked the heron and fallen tree to make independent levels adjustments in photoshop.
