I've recently discovered action shots of bees in flight as my new photography passion.

This image was captured handheld with the OM-1, paired with the 40-150mm f/2.8 lens and a 2x teleconverter at 150mm (600mm full frame equivalent). I used Pro Capture at 25 FPS with autofocus tracking and bird subject detection — a perfect example of how modern technology can support precision in nature photography.

To freeze the bee mid-flight, I needed a shutter speed of 1/2000s, which required shooting at ISO 3200. I then used DxO PureRAW to effectively reduce the resulting noise without compromising detail.
