Veil of Wings

The room was cloaked in near-total darkness - barely touched by a faint, pale blue glow. Just enough to reveal outlines. Just enough to feel watched.

No autofocus. No second chances. I switched to nightwatch mode, manually hunting for the one anchor in all that shadow - the eye. It shimmered just enough to lock focus, like it was staring back, daring me to try.

There’s something magnetic about bats. Silent. Inverted. Wrapped in myth and instinct. Maybe it’s the childhood fascination. Or maybe it’s simpler than that.

I mean — I AM BATMAN.

For the curious: 70mm, f/2.8, 1/125 sec, ISO 12800. Because sometimes, to see in the dark, you have to become part of it.
