Camera: Canon R6 Mark II - Lens: Canon RF24-105 zoom @ 105mm with a Promaster circular polarizer. ISO 250 - f5 - 1/640. Editing involved cropping and minor color/contrast enhancement in On1 Photo RAW MAX. I was at the Iola, WI old car show yesterday. My favorite old cars are from the art deco period in the 1930's. This is a hood ornament on a 1937 Pontiac. They don't make hood ornaments or Pontiacs any more and if they did, Pontiac's mascot would surely offend someone! It was noon, so the sun was directly overhead. Thankfully, a thin cloud cover was softening the light. The big challenge was keeping the focus sharp while shooting hand held. Chrome is difficult to focus and I wanted to shoot at a wide aperture to blur out the adjacent car. I like the repeating parallel lines reinforced by diagonal color split. Tom Williams
