Just a personal artistic endeavor with a friend.

Another contrasty, yet softly lit image using a 60 inch octa camera left. If I remember correctly, the octa was not angled at all. It was at a right angle to the floor, facing directly C left to right, and feathered away from the model quite a ways. The wall behind the model (camera right) is painted black which prevented light bounce and helped to preserve the shadows.

Girlie is gonna get cold skiing in that outfit. Nice work

It's a good thing that I couldn't care less about the opinions of other photographers.

Please understand that my comment was meant to be humorous, not critical. It's a well done image.

I appreciate your comments and no offense taken. I don't mind comments. The only thing that does baffle me, though, (not including your comment) is the arrogance of some to assume that their aesthetic is somehow more relevant than the aesthetic of the creator of an image.

It's actually kind of humorous :)

Despite your ranting diatribe, you manage to miss the point. And it has nothing to do with my ego. The only ego I see here is from you assuming that your aesthetic is so awesome that you feel compelled to share it with others without a clue as to what they had in mind and what the goals were when taking the photos. Aesthetic is subjective. Therefore yours means nothing when it comes to the photos of others.

And what are you talking about, "deleted my first round of photos"? You're making up things, now. I did no such thing. The photos I uploaded are the ones that are there now. Why do you feel the need to lie?

The only thing worse than arrogance is the lack of intellectual acuity to recognize and understand one's arrogance. Good job, there.

Pro tip. It's easier live with a mistake (we all make them) when you don't let arrogance rule your roost. Unsolicited "critiques" regarding aesthetic is one benchmark of arrogance.

Gives me all the Peter Coulson vibes with this!
