This picture of a wasp and hopper nymph was made during early morning hours under a shallow tree/canopy. Backlighted with natural soft early morning light and a low power flash with diffuser to fill shadows. Stack of three images, no compositing - fortunate that both insects waited just long enough to allow me to quickly capture these shots. Shot using Nikon D500 mounted with Nikon 105mm macro, sb-700 flash with diffuser at f/18, 1/6s, iso400. Processing in Topaz, LR and photoshop mostly to desaturate the green in the background and increase contrast.
