As I was working outdoors, I noticed this tiny dragonfly perched on a dead flower head and thought it must be a juvenile. It lingered there, so I had time to grab my camera and capture several shots, including this one. I later learned this species, the Eastern amberwing, only grows to about an inch long as an adult. Captured Sept. 12, 2025 on the Canon EOS R5 with the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens with EF-RF adapter.
