KEEPING MY NOSE WARM

I think I consider this one of my best photos from 2025 because it stirs an emotion in me. I cannot help but feel for this Polar Bear sleeping in the snow and ice using a rock for a pillow. I have seen my dog in this position many times, on her bed inside my house. I took this image during a trip to Churchill, MB Canada in November. The Hudson Bay is just out of the frame. It will be frozen soon and the bears will be out on the ice hunting. As can be seen in this image, Polar Bears are not always completely white.
