Shot on a Fuji xt5 with an xf50-140 at the full 140. 1/250 sec f2.8 iso 125
There is an abandoned airfield turned park near my house in Nashville with many trails and deer. I wish I could say I had camped out under a bush for hours but this was one of those rare times where I had the ideal picture in mind, and got the shot I wanted within 5 minutes of showing up. I looked down to turn my camera on and check my settings, and when I looked back up, this deer had just started to walk out onto the trail. It’s gave me a pose for maybe 2 seconds which was just enough time for me to get off a hip shot. Moving my camera to my face scared it off. Straightened the picture in photoshop along with some color adjustments. I got a lot more pictures of other deer in this outing where I was able to fill the frame more, but in the end, this one felt the most dreamy/magical to me.
