Sgŵd yr Eira.

Some friends and I were on what is called colloquially the Waterfall Walk which is a popular short walk in the Brecon Beacons, South Wales. Sgwd yr Eira is Welsh for Fall of the Snow and hikers are able to walk behind the fall which is the climax of the experience. Good job I packed my Gore-Tex as everybody had a good soaking.

I used my venerable Canon EOS 6D with the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 L lens with a ND400 filter. Shot at f/16 with a two second exposure. The light was rather flat with dull tones in the scene so I thought it would make an OK monochrome. Some contrast adjustments and toning is the extent of the editing. In this frame I actually used the camera's live view which is far from being the best.
