This photograph was captured above Omiš, Croatia, during the final moments of golden hour. I hiked up to this viewpoint just before sunset, arriving with very little time to work. The light was changing rapidly, and I had only a narrow window to position the drone and refine the composition before the sun dropped behind the mountains.

The image was created using a DJI Mini 3 Pro, chosen for its portability and strong dynamic range in a compact body. Shooting in HDR allowed me to preserve detail in both the illuminated stone chapel and the dramatic cloud formations gathering above the coastline.

The composition balances architectural intimacy with expansive landscape: the chapel anchors the foreground, while the Adriatic coastline and mountain ridge create depth and scale. The warm golden tones contrast beautifully with the cool blues of the sea and sky.

This photograph would perform exceptionally well as a large print. The fine textures in the stone, the layered landscape, and the dramatic sky provide depth and visual richness that reveal more detail at scale, making it ideal for interior spaces seeking atmosphere, calm, and architectural elegance.
